So. Here I am. Floating in space. Yeah, I'm a real genius. Oh sure I created a machine that could transport human beings to space. But did it occur to the organic hard drive in my head to make sure I could get back? Gasp. Indeed I did not! Yeah, I'm smart. Sigh. Well here I am alone in space with my keyboard. Funny how I have the thing in my hands that created the program that brought me here, but I have absolutely no control over it to get back. Real ironic. I'm tempted to throw it away from me and watch it float through this timeless abyss of space. But that would just be another one of my rashly brilliant ideas. One of the ones that got me stranded here. No I need to hold onto it. For now. Until I can find some way to get back to earth. Until then, I'll just clutch my useless keyboard to my uselessly floating body and wait. And pray no aliens come to eat me.

If I could go anywhere in the world anytime....hmmmm.... I would probably go to a Renaissance period in Japan or Ireland. The Renaissance times have always interested me and I believe that there would be more magic in those times than in the times of now. I would want to experience it and just live there in those times fro a while. Of course I couldn't live very long without my technology so I would have to come back real soon. :) Today was super fun. HTML AGAIN!!!!!!!! I LOVE USING HTML!!!!!!!

Day 2 of My Second Week at YWIC
Today...today...today...today was awesome! We got a lot of work in with HTML and I love HTML. I never really got it too much last time I went to YWIC but this time I totally get it! It's so simply difficult at first but once you get used to it, it's just like learning another language and working your way around the "words". The code is just another language to speak and you just go off some basic words and get giant shortcuts with loads of meaning. It's so cool. Live Code worked better today for me. Still a few glitches but nothing that was too hard to get around with some help.
Blog Prompt: If you could change the world by developing a device using computer science, what would it be and how would it change the world we live in? Describe it in one paragraph.
I would develop a device that would pick up on the magnetic pulls given off by the earth. See if there was a device that could be used to pick up on the magnetic waves and possibly amplify them, it would change so many things. The magnetic pulses could be used to deflect an opposite magnetic polar force emanating from a car or other device to make it hover over the ground. An earth friendly flying car. Also (and this scenario was brought up by my older sister) the pulses could be used to effectively push a rocket into space with an amplified magnetic force that would deflect it from the earth's surface using the same device. The device would be controlled by a computer with a programming code that would control the force of it's level of amplitude and when it searched for the magnetic pulses from the earth.

So today marks the official first day of my second week at a YWIC summer program. It's just as fun as I remembered it. Better even! This time we learned more about HTML. To my delight, I understood it way better than before and I remember it better. We used LiveCode which I was excited about since we could use it to make apps and games, and I love game design. Plus we did some cool new activities. I'm so glad I came.
